Scimitar, founded by Stephen Sampson early 2005, is a thrash metal band from Plymouth/Saltash, England. Scimitar are widely influenced professional musicians and incorporate all influences to produce a totally original take on heavy metal. Scimitar have recorded their 3 song demo, which will all be available online soon and available at all gigs.
Scimitar have over time progressed in the maturity in the music, and now the band have settled on an incredibly heavy sound and a new vocal style. Despite many lineup changes, Scimitar have found the best possible lineup and are ready to stick some metal up yer ass!!

THE STORY SO FAR... The current Ammafist lineup was formed in Novemeber 2004, following Bens arrival to fill in the bass spot. Tutored for a year and a half by band development officer Lee Whitock at Estover College in Plymouth, Ammafist began to play local gigs all through the year, even travelling out to play at Maker Sunshine Festival one summer. But it was with the production of the EP that really helped things to take off. They began to play gigs at clubs and pubs like The Phoenix, The White Rabbit and The Hub gaining fans as they went. With interest from the Exeter Phoenix and production on an album to start after Christmas, things are looking good... We'll have to wait and see I guess.

We started around April 2005 and are very passionate about what we do and have fun doing it.
We're an eager band who want to add as much as we can to our local scene and put grunge back where it belongs.......
