JOKER MYSPACE...RAN FOR THE FANS BY THE FANS

"Joker are a four piece indie rock band. Originally formed in April 2003 with Chris Brian joining in February 04 and Dean taking over the bass in June 07. This completes the line up with Gary Adin on vocals/rhythm guitar and Andy Dunlop on drums. We play predominantly contemporary covers by the most popular bands including Artic Monkeys, Starsailor, Stereophonics, Kaiser Chiefs, Greenday and Snow Patrol as well as several original tracks mixed in.”

What else can be said to convince you to see these guys play…Well lets see, there’s the electric atmosphere they seem to create wherever they play. The energy they have during songs like Chelsea Dagger, I Predict a Riot, Dakota and I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor to name a few (not to mention the crowds reaction to all the songs played!)

There’s Gary who’s voice can not be described, he is able to send a tingle down your spine with a single note. He has been known to perform the odd headstand and has tendencies to swing from anything he can while still singing, quite a sight to see!

This along with Chris’ ability to sing Breed by Nirvana with the same gravelly voice and then harmonise amazingly with Gary for Chasing Cars is something not only to be seen but heard to be believed.

Andy comes close to meltdown while fantastically drumming his heart out during Dakota. He also has a mesmerizing drumming sequence for Chelsea Dagger you must see.

Finally there’s Dean who has recently joined the band bringing bass and vocal backing to the group completing the line up. We wish Dean luck and look forward to the Joker machine rolling on!!!

Every venue they play gets packed to the rafters but if you can make the journey to Kingsbridge for their performance during fair week then do so, you won’t be disappointed!!

These guys wow the crowds time and time again, as one fan said in a recent review…”If you can stand and watch these guys for 2 hours without getting emotional then your remedy is simple, you need a soul implant”
